H.R. Mental Wellness Centre was established in 2006 as the dedicated mental health service arm of El-Rayes Foundation.
The Centre was founded to help mental health patients heal, prevent relapses, and become the best version of themselves using our unique mental wellness program.
Structural Clarity: The services and programs of H.R. Mental Wellness Centre are fully supported by El-Rayes Foundation, the registered Canadian non-profit organization that provides the funding and governance for all our operations.
Our Mission
To empower individuals in their mid-20s and mature professionals to achieve mental wellness through an integrated approach that combines modern medical sciences and ancient philosophies. We are dedicated to compassionate, personalized care that fosters resilience, personal growth, and meaningful connections.
Holistic Unique Programs at H.R. Mental Wellness Centre.
At H.R. Mental Wellness Centre (HRMWC), we promote a holistic approach that addresses the body, mind, and spirit, empowering you to become a steward of your healing journey.
Inspired by Dr. El-Rayes’ book, Mental Wellness: A Spiritual Journey, our program integrates key therapeutic modalities and philosophical elements:
- Mindfulness: Enhancing present-moment awareness.
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): Changing negative thought patterns.
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT): Managing emotions and improving relationships.
- Logotherapy: Finding meaning and purpose.
- Spirituality: Nurturing the soul.
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT): A form of psychotherapy that uses mindfulness and acceptance to help individuals live a more meaningful life aligned with their values.
We complement medical services by treating individuals as whole persons, combining modern medical sciences with ancient philosophies for good health. Additionally, we address the epidemic of loneliness in Western societies by fostering meaningful connections and community health.
Program Offerings and Community Support
Our programs offer a unique, interactive learning experience in a safe environment, featuring self-help support groups and individual and group coaching. Participants can:
- Discuss their concerns and brainstorm to address them.
- Define their goals and action plans.
- Learn new skills to better their lives, including stress management techniques, problem-solving skills, effective communication, relationship development, and networking skills.
- Be motivated to develop a healthy lifestyle through exercise, proper nutrition, socializing, and balancing life.
Participants learn how to develop and implement plans to improve their physical, spiritual, and mental health, finances, and life quality. The Centre also provides moral and social support to its members, encouraging you to build social relationships and participate in various social activities with other members to reduce isolation and facilitate healing.
